Thank you.
After many wonderful years running No.5, we've made the difficult decision to step away from the restaurant.
Last year Dave was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and over the past months we've been adjusting to life with the condition. While we remain positive, the realities of running a busy restaurant mean it's the right time for us to focus more on health and family.
No.5 has meant the world to us. The friendships, celebrations and memories made within these walls are something we'll always treasure, and we want to thank everyone who has supported us and walked through the doors over the years.
Rather than simply closing and seeing the building fall quiet, it was important to us that this place could carry on being somewhere people come together over good food and good company. We're really happy to say that it will.
A new independent team will be taking on the space — bringing with them a new name, a new identity, and something we think Shifnal is going to be genuinely excited about. We can't say much more just yet, but watch this space. Something special is coming.
The doors will close for a few weeks while the new team prepare, but this is far from the end of the story for this building.
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who made No.5 what it was. It has meant more to us than we can ever properly say.
Dave & Yvonne
